Penelakut Island, formerly known as Kuper Island and renamed in 2010 in honour of the Penelakut First Nation people, is located in the southern Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland Pacific coast of BC, Canada.

An Ecological Paradise
The area is home to Gulf Islands National Park Reserve—an ecological paradise of land pockets on 15 islands, plus numerous small islets and reef areas. The forested Gulf Islands include Mayne, Galiano, Hornby, and Gabriola. The largest is Salt Spring, famed for its locavore-minded farmers, artisan producers, and organic vineyards.
Food & Delicacies
Our chef will dazzle your tastebuds with culinary delights prepared in our ships galley. Featuring local seafood, hearty homemade soups and baked goods all freshly prepared in our onboard galley. Your meals will showcase famous west coast type cuisine using many local ingredients.
Breakfast, lunch and a three course dinner will be served. There are homemade cookies, pastries and fresh fruit available in the dinning lounge throughout the day for snacking on. A full range of teas, coffee, soft drinks, juices and snacks are provided and available 24 hours as well. Dinner will be served on the day of departure and breakfast and lunch are served on your final day of sailing.
Begin your day with a continental type offering including fresh fruit, yogurt, and baked goods. Follow that up with a full hot breakfast made to order.
Take a break from wildlife viewing and shore excursions while recharging with lunch, usually featuring a home-made soup or chowder combined with a charcuterie board or our chef’s own daily creation.
Watch the sun set while indulging in a three-course meal paired with a selection of fine wines and a limited selection of craft beers. (Alcohol is not a large part of our trips, so plan on light consumption).
